Of her work, Luchansky says,"My fascination with the found objects in the world around us prompted me to explore the memories these objects evoke. Combing the beaches in search of glass transformed by the elements and time, provided the catalyst to create these works. The beauty of light through glass once sharp and jagged provides the metaphor for memories. As events occur they are sharp and delineated yet over time they are transformed and their edges softened. We choose to remember a selective experience, discarding thoughts that no longer suit us. We ache to walk under a different sky. In the end, mellowed by time and the light of the wisdom, we choose what we wish to remember."
